Project summary
From WoodMart template to full custom build.
DronePower1 is a veteran-owned drone solar cleaning company operating across the entire Coachella Valley. The old WordPress site looked like every other local service business. The rebuild gave the drone technology and the pricing model the presentation they deserved.
Exploration
Three mockups, one final direction.
We presented three visual routes before landing on the final build shown later in this case study. The point was to compare tone, hierarchy, and how much of the drone operation to reveal in the first impression.
Coverage map first.
A service-area-led concept that put the city map and cadence story before everything else.
Hero concept, open sky.
A brighter drone hero with a lighter first impression and a more airy editorial feel.
Hero concept, high contrast.
A darker, more dramatic option that leaned into bold type and a stronger cinematic edge.
The old site
Four page captures from the old site.
These are cropped to keep the useful part of each page in frame. A 2x2 grid gives the screenshots room to breathe; 4-across would shrink the screenshots into noise.
Homepage hero
The opening screen had the right ingredients, but the layout buried the actual story.
Services page
Three equal cards, no hierarchy, and no clear reason this was a drone company.
Gallery page
Proof existed, but it was pushed low enough that it never got the spotlight it deserved.
About page
The story was there, but the page still read like a general service site instead of a specialist.
Desktop presentation
Dark, credible, and built around the actual tech.
The new site leads with drone imagery, FAA certification trust marks, and transparent pricing. The first viewport now fits the business more directly.
Solar cleaning, flown.
Dark cinematic hero, FAA certification trust marks, and a direct CTA — the new site earns attention in the first viewport.
Know the price before you book.
A transparent per-panel calculator with a Residential / Commercial toggle. Slide the count, see the number, lock the price, book. No phone tag.
Built features
Gallery, map, pricing, and booking — all in the site.
The rebuild wasn't just a visual upgrade. Each of these features replaced a conversion gap in the old site: no proof, no coverage clarity, no transparent pricing, no booking path.
63 field photos, filtered.
Before & After, Residential, Commercial & Utility, Crew & Kit — every job category in one filterable grid that proves the work at scale.
Every Coachella Valley city. One fleet.
An interactive Leaflet map with branded drone-logo pins, one per city. Tap any pin for local pricing and climate notes.
Schedule directly in the site.
Zenbooker embedded on the Contact page — no redirects, no external booking tabs. Pick a slot, enter card details, done.
Mobile experience
Every key feature works on a phone.
Solar panel owners booking residential cleanings are doing it from their phones. The pricing calculator, reels, photo gallery, and booking flow all scale cleanly to mobile without losing anything.
Price it on your phone before calling.
The instant quote widget is fully usable on mobile — toggle between residential and commercial, enter a ZIP, get a number.
View reels.
Short vertical clips straight from the job — tap any reel to play with sound.
View photos.
Before-and-after stills stay easy to scan on the same phone screen.
Book without leaving the site.
The Zenbooker embed scales cleanly to mobile. ZIP code entry, slot selection, card capture — the full flow fits the screen.
